Tights

All Dancers are required to PROVIDE THEIR OWN Performance TIGHTS

Tights must be in Excellent / "Like New" condition

Dancers Choice is our preferred local dance supply for shoes/tights.

FEMALE ballet TIGHTS

Please pack a minimum of 2 pairs of tights per required style in your bag for performance.

Primary A/B/C

Ballet Pink Tights

Levels 1-7

Theatrical Pink (or skin-tone) Mesh Seamed Convertible Tights

*Tights must be matching in color to shoes. If you opt for skin-tone, please make sure they match!

ROLE-SPECIFIC FEMALE TIGHTS

No Tights : Seven Dwarfs, Gargantuan, PPD Jazz Ensemble, PPD Tap Duet

Skin-Toned Tights: Wicked Stepmother, Cinderella's Stepmother & Stepsisters, Primary Tap, CD Jazz Ensemble, CD Tap Ensemble

Black Socks (no tights): Lucifer the Cat

MALE TIGHTS

No tights (TBC will provide shorts or pants for all costumes)

All male performers are required to wear a dance belt as a base layer under costumes. Please contact us if you have questions.

SHOES

All Dancers are required to PROVIDE THEIR OWN Shoes

Shoes must be in Excellent / "Like New" condition.

Please see cleaning notes below. Shoes with holes / dirty shoes are not permitted on stage.

We recommend going for a shoe fitting at Dancer's Choice for any new purchases.

MALE SHOE REQUIREMENTS

SHOE CLEANING TIPS

LEATHER BALLET SHOES:

Wipe down with a damp cloth to remove dirt from outer surfaces.

CANVAS BALLET SHOES:

Machine Wash on “Delicate COLD” cycle and AIR dry.

*Please Note: There is a chance this can cause slight shrinkage, and/or not get the dirt out enough for the shoes to be “stage ready”. It is always a good idea to have a back-up pair of shoes in your dance bag if you are performing in canvas shoes & wash them early enough that you have time to replace them if needed.

POINTE SHOES:

Satin shoes are not clean-able. So, please ensure your shoes are in stage worthy condition. We always recommend buying a fresh pair and wearing them for a class or two so they are to a comfortable place for performance, then setting them aside for the show so they look and feel great for the stage. You should ALWAYS have a new back-up pair of pointe shoes when at the theatre. Shoes break down quickly during performances and you need to have a new pair available in case of emergency.
